“O’Connell and Company’s LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is full of fun and love, and it leaves the audience with a glowing, happy feeling…Daniel Lendzian plays Albin, Georges’ husband and the drag queen star of Georges’ nightclub. His Act I curtain song, “I Am What I Am” is a highlight of the production, of course. This is a role with lots of variety and he does a great job throughout – fun audience interaction, sweet duets with Georges, his drag performance as ZaZa, and very convincing work as Jean-Michel’s mother. Mr. Lendzian doesn’t camp up the mother scenes and this is a good choice. After all, Albin has really been a mother to Jean-Michel all these years.”
